Bertha came into our family as a second car for my wife to get to and from work and to run-around at the weekends with me (and with my wheelchair in the amply spaced boot) as a cheaper alternative to my huge (thirsty) Galaxy. When she arrived we knew we were going to keep her for a long time and so we invested a lot of time and money into making sure she wouldn"t let us down.Most of these items didn"t need replacing, but (being disabled) I am stuffed if a car breaks down with me inside, so I don"t like to take any chances.

I have put a new 12 month MoT on her - which she passed first time.She would suit a new driver as the driving position gives excellent all-around visibility and she is cheap to insure, tax and run (we get upwards of 50mpg).Or she would suit someone (like me) with limited mobility as the seats are high enough to get in and out with ease, and the doors open wide to get a wheelchair close to the seat.Or she would suit a dog owner - a cheap car with a big boot to take the muddy dogs out for walks in !Or just someone wishing to cut their driving expenses.Parts for her are exceedingly inexpensive and readily available - for example, brake pads on eBay are only £11.29 - check out Brake Pad Set Juratek JCP1501 Fits Front (Fits: KENARI)
