Only 2 owners from new (I have owned this car about 9 years, carrying family, dogs, and small van loads in its large estate area).
Full Leather Interior.
4CD Stereo with great speakers.
Electric Sun Roof,
Drivers seat powered with two programmable keys.
Selling as I have just upgraded to a 2007 XC70 Volvo (the AWD brother of this car) as a lie the build quality and comfort of these Volvos and the pulling power of these D5 diesel engines.
The not so good bits:
Dashboard has two false warning lights ( Service Required & SRS Air Bag Service Required) - not an uncommon fault on older Volvo dashboards, it is a niggle but does not effect driving.
Cruise Control is not working, I think it is the button on the steering wheel that needs to be sorted.
Rear park sensors make the close object warning noise when reverse is first selected, but it soon clears ( a light tap on the break pedal normally does it).
A few years back by motorbike side stand collapsed and it feel against the Volvos rear offside panel, this left a dent from the handle bar end, Volvo main dealer quoted silly money to change the panel or offered to seal the paint work for a much more reasonable fee, so I took the second option as it is only cosmetic (Phot attached to show this).
Flap over the diesel filler cap is loose when car unlocked, secured when car is locked.
Small stone chip on front windscreen (out of line of sight for driving) and has passed two MOTs with it and without comment.
Leather has done 13(+) years service so seats show some crazing and the leather gaiters around the gear lever and hand brake are worn on the edges, this is shown in the pictures.
The Good Bits:
A solid car as Volvo are renowned for, the panels are all still an excellent fit with no changes since the day it was made, the interior is made of heavy duty vinyl or leather with a small amount of wood (style?) trim which is all still an excellent fit with none of the creaks or noises of some lighter cars.
I am getting 41.8 MPG on mixed motorway and town driving.
The Air Conditioning is working well.
It is a very comfortable car that you can load up with family, dogs, a months shopping or a sofa if you want.
Cam belt at 72000 (as part of the deal when I purchased the car from a dealer).
I replaced the clutch in July 2011 at 120519 miles.
Full service including Front Discs, Hoses and Pads at 167529 miles (November 2015)
I am the 2nd owner buying it in August 2007 with 72000 miles on it and have owned the car for 100,000 miles, will be sad to see it go but after 9 years I have upgraded to the All Wheel Drive XC70.
At the end of the day it is an old, solid Volvo estate with a manual box attached to the classic Volvo D5 engine.
