I am reluctantly selling my silver 2003 Lotus ELISE 111s. This car is my pride and joy and it breaks my heart to have to sell it, but the money is needed elsewhere. I bought the car a year ago from Speedwell Automotive in Hampshire when it had covered just 44300 miles with one owner, who was a friend of the garage owner. The car has been used nearly every sunny day for the last year and has now covered just over 48000 miles. When the car is not being used it is normally garaged.
Being the 111s model it has more power than your standard ELISE with 156bhp from the k series engine which also has the added benefit of variable valve control (VVC) which kicks in at around 5000rpm. Other features of the car include air conditioning (£1200 extra), factory hard top, cobra alarm and 8 spoke Rimstock alloy wheels all with Toyo Proxes T1R tyres with good tread. The wheels were refurbished just before I bought the car and are still in perfect condition.
The only modifications that have been made to the car include, a full stainless Janspeed exhaust minus the 4-2-1 manifold which comes as standard on the 111s models. I believe the exhaust was fitted to the car when the previous owner bought it and for good reason, the car sounds as good as it looks. Other modifications that I have made to the car include black stone guards on the rear arches and 5000k HID headlights. I have also over hauled the brakes, giving it new drilled and vented discs all round, new Mintex M1144 pads all round to replace the EBC Greenstuff pads on there before, which i do not rate! At the same time as these brake mods I also installed EP stainless braided hoses all round (http://www.ELISEparts.com/products/show/2/6/stainless-steel-brake-hoses/). Finally, I have installed the EP Nylatron gear linkage kit as at the standard ELISE linkage kit is a bit sloppy. This kit really tightens the whole feel of the gearbox up (http://www.ELISEparts.com/products/show/12/174/ELISEparts-gear-linkage-kit/).
Maintenance wise the car has a full service history with plenty of receipts and old MOT certificates. When I bought the car Speedwell replaced the faulty air conditioning compressor, the heater switch pack under the front clam and one of the radiator fans. The head gasket has also been replaced for the Freelander MLS head gasket by the garage I bought the car from, this was more of a precautionary measure rather than a repair. I had the cam belt replaced in April by Maidstone sports cars and had the gearbox oil changed as well. The engine oil I have replaced a couple of times throughout the year.
The car also comes with the standard exhaust in the unlikely event that the soundtrack should not be to your taste, a waterproof cover, HPI certificate, 1 years MOT, soft top with the bag and a cover for the hard top and two keys.
