I am selling this MG ZR 1.4 on behalf of my wife.I"ve gone over the car and it is in good nick for its age.It does have same small areas of rust as shown in the pictures.Also usual marks for its age.The drivers seat has some wear and tearing around the bolster as seen in the picture.The sunroof works but for some reason the seal has a gap (see pic)there was tape and silicone around the sunroof when my wife purchased the car which i removed.The sunroof has not leaked since she has owned the car but i would expect it will do.Everything seems to work, I have tried all the switches and all seems good.The car starts and drives ok.Last MOT had advisory on both fuel pipes at the side of the tank corroded.It has a new thermostat and battery a couple of months ago as the car cut out and Green Flag came out and said it was the battery?After putting a new battery on I found that the thermostat had gone and the battery was fine.After changing the thermostat I started the car and it began smoking white smoke and the water level dropped.I suspect that the thermostat went and the car overheated which is why it cut out.As a result i suspect the head gasket has gone which is a common problem with these engines.As my wife need ed to be on the road fast we went a got a replacement car till i repaired this one, but have not had time as yet so have decided to sellit as is instead.All 4 tyres are good two were new around October/November last year.The car has been off the road for about 2 months now and will need to be towed/trailered away.Can be stared and moved but would not advise driving.
I will not be ending the auction early and I"m not interested in any offers car will go to the highest bidder.I have started the bidding at the price i got offered from a car scrapper and if it doesn"t sell i will keep and repair myself or brake for parts if i get enough interest.
