Maserati/Ferrari History 
Maserati was founded on the 1st December 1914 
Ferrari took over Maserati in 1999 making Maserati its luxury division. In 2001 Ferrari completely re-tooled and modernised the Modena factory and in 2002 launched the 4200 Coupe and Spyder models. The 4200 replaced the older 3200GT model range, the 4200 is regarded as a huge improvement on its predecessor, the 3200, in areas such as build quality, reliability, engineering and handling. The 4200 also saw the installation of a Ferrari engine from the Ferrari 430 model. In 2005 Maserati merged with Alfa Romeo under the Fiat group.  
Cambiocorsa means "race change" and works via a hydroelectric system, the flappy paddles on the steering wheel simply operate the clutch instead of your foot, there is no torque converter, also the engine is a 32 valve 8 cylinder engine with lifetime chain driven cams, so there"s no need to keep replacing the cambelts
