Welcome to my no-reserve auction for Sh!tty Saab (we also have a 9-3 convertible called Sunny Saab). The name should set expectations...
This is an unmolested 9-5 Aero estate with a manual gearbox. I bought the car in October from a friend of a friend - the owner since new - as a stop-gap. We acquired a dog and so needed an estate and I sold my saloon car. I"ve been looking for a Renault Avantime, have now found one so the 9-5 needs to go.
Good pointsCrucially the car has 6 months of MOT leftIt is also quick - mid-range acceleration is rather fun Brand new spark plugs - I changed them this weekend using the proper platinum Saab originals - and a spare Coil Pack included (every wise 9-5 owner carries one of these)Had the oil changed and engine flushed in November when I got itAll sub-frame bushes replaced with Abbot Racing poly-bushes (an expensive job) at the same timeTwo keysFull leather interior with heated seatsCruise controlHeating blows hot, AC blows cold
Sh!tty pointsDecent dent in rear passenger door, and a few scrapes and minor dents all aroundFront bonnet has an interesting effect to the paint/laquer....visible in the photoThe car is burning oil - it"s not huge plumes of blue smoke but it does occasionally need topping up and you can smell the burnt oil after a run - most of a bottle of fully synthetic oil included in the sale. Driver"s window is stuck in the down position - a recent charming development. Front passenger"s window stuck in the up positionOne tyre has a slow puncture - needs topping up every so oftenNearside front full beam bulb needs replacingSelf-leveling headlight warning light onEngine warning light on (I believe this is due to the spark plugs - it started recently and would hesitate badly under heavy-load, I"ve replaced the spark plugs and it is running well now but the light is still on)Boot won"t open from the handle, but it will from the button on the driver"s door and both key fobsHandbrake needs tightening - it goes on but has to be yanked full-onRadio works, CD player doesn"t - it"s eaten a couple of my CDs...I will try and get them out, if not they are yours to keep! (the Doors and Leonard Cohen I think...)Rear parking sensors don"t work, and a few other of the electrics are temperamental. If I had more room I"d keep the car as a run around not least because the engine is so much fun and it"s a great load-lugger, but it has to go.
There is no reserve but please note, once the auction is over I will not haggle on price - the price you bid is what you"ll end up paying and given the above description you should know what you are getting! Sh!tty Saab needs to go but I won"t be messed around and non-paying winners will be reported to eBay.
