Vauxhall OMEGA 2.6 CDX - MOTd until 26th June 2017
I"ve owned this car for the last two year, and it has been excellent. I bought the car off eBay as I"d always wanted one of these, and I"ve loved every minute of owning and driving it. Its fitted with a tow bar, and yes, it has been used to tow our family caravan, and it did this with ease (out pulling the the Vauxhall Frontera and Range Rover I owned previously). The car has covered around 40,000 since I"ve owned it, and it has been a few trips over to the Netherlands in that time (1500 to 2000 miles each time)
In the time I"ve owned it, it has had a new exhaust, an alternator and an oil cooler plate (probably the only common fault on this engine which has a reputation of being bullet proof), plus plenty of services by me.
The good: MOT runs out on 26th June 2017. The car passed no advisories.The car always starts first time and runs really well.The 2.6 litre V6 is strong and pulls like a train. The original performance figures say that this can do 0-60 in about 9 seconds, and I"d bet that she still could.It"s got a Navigation stereo system fitted (running igo). It also has the ability to show DVDs, digital TV, and other auxiliary inputs like a reversing camera. It can also be used to run headrest monitors.The exhaust is only around a year oldAll tyres have plenty of tread left.The interior is leather and is very clean (just valetted) and original with no rips or tears (see photos)Front seats are heated and electrically height adjustableElectric windows all roundElectric sunroofThe rear seats fold flat for big loads, Even the front passenger seat folds down for even more room.
The bad:Its not a new car so expect a few dings around the bodyworkDriver"s side rear wheel arch has a small rust scab. Its small but you should know its there.My sister"s neighbor reversed off his drive and rubbed up against the driver"s side rear door. It did dent the door and it popped out again, but you can see it, but I only see it if I look for it.The alternator"s bearing is a bit noisier than I"d like. It works perfectly which I"ve not taken it off.I"ve tried to be honest with my description but I would encourage you to come and view the car. I really am gutted to be selling this car as it has been an joy to own... my pride and joy. It was purchased because it was on my list of cars I always wanted and the only reason it is up for sale is because I"ve bought the next car on that list.
