Having just put a new MOT on my 911 discovered only covered 2500 miles in last year and coming year won"t get much use as for the next 12 months I"m building myself a new house so will be using a van + 1 classic car hence why have decided to sell.
Having had air cooled 911"s for the last 18 years I was nervous of the water cooled cars and looked around for 3 months before buying this car 18 months ago. Due to the stories about bore scoring etc I bought this car as this engine was rebuilt @ 73,573 miles with 6 new liners and pistons and both blocks reconditioned including cylinder heads which gave me peace of mind. There are some cars about which have had only had 1 block / 3 cylinders done....i.e. half a****d job.
Car has full service history with the drive belt replaced at 73,095 miles and I have had 4 new bridgestone Porsche approved tyres fitted 1,500 miles ago @ 80,209 miles. Within a month of buying the car I decided it was way to quiet and had the rear exhausts modified to sports exhaust with new bypass pipes welded in (it"s known as the Gundo Hack). Sounds awsome like a 911 should sound without being too boomy.
I suggest buyers do your research and you will find my car in my laymans opinion represents a great buy with reduced risk of big bills with these earlier cars now starting to go up in value so a great investment and miles of smiles.
I have priced my car to sell so no dreamers or test pilots. Car can be viewed in Gloucestershire halfway between Bristol and Cheltenham.
