Here is my Alfa Romeo 147 1.6 Twin Spark.  I bought it as a stopgap car and it ended up staying for 18 months..  The car runs and drives fine and has 4 months MOT, but considering its age and the list of issues which I don’t have the knowledge or motivation to solve (even the minor stuff), I am listing the car as spares or repair.  The car has only done 73,000 miles, 13,000 of which it has done with me.  The only time it has let me down during that 13,000 miles occurred last August when the pulley on the aircon pump failed, and I had to have a new aircon pump and auxiliary belt fitted.  Aside from that, all it has cost me is a set of brake pads for the last MOT, a handbrake tightening, and a couple of bulbs.  I have been using the car as my daily driver until today, and it has started for me first time, every time.  I’ll miss the sound of the Twin Spark, but there we go.  The car has electric windows, air con, aftermarket CD player (which I fitted but will leave in), power-steering etc.  The gearbox is crisp as.......well, a crispy thing, and I’ve really enjoyed driving it.  The interior is clean and tidy, and the car is from a smoke free, pet free home.
Now, the bad points........it does have a number of dents and scratches, which I’ve tried to highlight in the photos.  There are creases to the front of the roof panel, the top of the wing, and the driver’s side rear quarter panel.  The bonnet is not a perfect and on the passenger side back quarter panel these has been a paint repair that isn’t great (its dull and although my friend who knows about these things say it could be rectified by ‘wet flatting’, that went completely over my head!).  The passenger side door doesn’t work on the remote central locking for some reason, but will lock manually.  There is a slight oil leak, so I have had to be mindful to check the oil level regularly.  The trip computer (where is shows the miles)flashes on and off rather than remaining on constantly, but is still readable.  It needs a new sidelight bulb, and the tyres will need to be replaced sooner rather than later.  There were some other advisories on the last MOT which I haven’t done anything about.  There are some corrosion points which according to the tester aren’t serious and could mostly be dealt with by brushing down and hammerite-ing (if that’s a word) the areas in question.  I had the handbrake repaired for the MOT, but sometimes the lever doesn’t engage first time and it’s something to be aware of.  There is a small chip to the windowscreen, but not in the driver’s area.  I’m sure someone with more mechanical ability with me could solve many of these.
That’s about it, I think.  You’re welcome to come and have a look, in case I have missed anything.  It is what it is.  But once you’ve bid, you’ve bought, and I won’t take kindly to tyrekickers who try and haggle after the event.  The car has served me admirably, getting me to work and back for a year-and-a-half, so it owes me nothing and I will let the auction run its course from a penny with no reserve.
