For Sale. 2004 LAND Rover Discovery TD5, Pursuit, Java Black, Manual, 7 seater.   We have had the Discovery 2 for about two and a half years and it has been pretty much faultless. The only thing we had to sort was the green fuel pipe which had rubbed through (common fault).   The car has full service history and has been maintained to a high standard. I have a stack of old bills etc to go with the car. I had it serviced/tested in April this year the only comment on the MOT being a CV boot but the tester said it wasnt worth changing yet.   The car appears to have never been off road. It was bought originally in central London by its first owner. The second owner used it as a winter car and we have just used it as a family bus.   It has done 136k miles (may go up slightly as sill in use). There is the odd light oil leak here and there (it is a LAND Rover!) but the mechanic has checked the levels at each service and has never been concerned. There is also the odd age related mark including a light scrape to the rear quarter panel near the bumper but nothing major. The only thing that had bugged me is some rust at the top of the windscreen which appears to have been caused by dirt getting under the seal. I havent had this painted as i didnt fancy having the screen removed to get the seal out. I have however treated it regularly with rust treatment and as the car is black, it is hardly noticable.   The chassis is in excellent condition and i have treated it every year with different products, the latest being Hammerite. There are no holes or welding. I have also just fitted a front tow bar.   The interior is in good condition with dark grey cloth trim. The steering wheel and gear gaiter are showing signs of age. Everything works - windows, locking etc. The climate control blows cold. There is a bluetooth head unit fitted but i have the original LAND Rover CD unit also. There are genuine LAND Rover rubber mats fitted as well as a dog guard. 2 remote keys supplied.   The exterior is as described above but just to add there is a foam nudge bar and spot lights fitted, side steps, 30mm Bulldog wheel spacers, 18 LAND Rover Hurricane alloys with Insa Turbo Ranger tyres fitted (10mm+ tread), the spare is an unused style 3 wheel and 16 tyre - i have a 5th Insa Turbo which will be included in the sale.   The car is still on air suspension at the rear which works perfectly. There is no ACE. I have fitted a Terra Firma steering damper.   The engine runs well and has been regularly serviced. The only modification being the removal of the EGR valve - i have the original unit also.   We have been happy to jump in the Discovery and do a 400 mile round trip to see friends without thinking about it and its even returned 31mpg. The Discovery has been my pride and joy and its a real shame to sell her  but my reason is that we are struggling with 3 car seats so I have bought something more of a people carrier rather than a 4x4.   The car is based in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
