We used the Mazda till october then took it for an mot. The garage said it needed work done on the brakes and a bit of welding somewhere. Not sure what work exactly but i have the failure sheet if you want to see it. They quoted me £300 for all the repairs and a fresh mot, but we chose to purchase another vehicle, so the Mazda is just sitting in the drive. Just prior to the mot it had 3 new tyres fitted (not remoulds), and a new battery. Even after 3 months standing it started first turn. It has some rust around the front wings, and the wheels are blistering, and as its 11 years old it shows normal wear and tear as usual. The interior is quite good, and the bose sound system is very loud. Engine has plenty of power still, and it actually drives really well. I dont want to make it sound like a dog, but i dont want anyone thinking its a showroom example either. I just want to be honest and say that its an ok motor, and if you spend a little cash on the mot stuff, its a good drive. If, like me, you couldnt be bothered with the hassle, its still worth breaking for the parts alone. Either way, if you want to ask anything at all please feel free to do so.
