RENAULT Megane 1.5 dciThere is No MOT. Faults:-Car is driving in limp mode.Engine uses a lot of oil.Drivers airbag squib/rotary switch needs replacing.Radio/cd player is broken.Drivers seat bolster is worn.There are cigarette burns on drivers seat and nearside door armrest.There are two dings on offside rear wing.There is a small scratch on offside rear wing.There are some scratches on roof caused by brambles.The ac probably needs regassing.The radio/cd player has been damaged by a cack handed attempt to remove it although it will work when the on/off button is fiddled with.
Fault diagnosis:-Diagnostics showed camshaft sensor circuit fault, MAP sensor fault. These have been replaced and there are no faults shown currently on OBD diagnosis apart from drivers airbag.The engine starts first time every time.The turbocharger cartridge has been replaced with a new one.The egr valve has been replaced.Can"t find any turbo boost leaks and intercooler radiator looks intact.

Despite my best efforts to cure the problem the engine refuses to behave.Possibly the ecu needs resetting but the cost of main dealers has put me off spending anymore money so I have decided to sell the car. Scrapping is an option but there is so much good about this car it"s a shame to do so. For example:-The alloy wheels clean up like new and there is a couple of years left in all four tyres. The spare wheel has new never been used.The bodywork gleams when polished, apart from some scratches and dings.The clutch, steering, brakes and ride are fine.Someone with better skills than myself may be able to solve the problem easily.I have the VC5 registration document, the handbook and service record up to 107062 miles.Before I had a problem the mpg was up to 70 and of course road tax is only £30 a yearWe are located DN21 5ED.
