vehicle description:

Selling due to recent issue with intermittent smoke from exhaust. No loss of power and seems to be linked to a water temp sensor fault. The temp guage is sticking on stone cold even after 30 minutes driving. When this happens black smoke is coming from the exhaust, but only when idling. When the water temp sensor moves, the issue does not occur. Strange but true. No impact on pulling power of car which is fine.
Engine warning and service due lights are on. 
I have used EGR valve cleaner about 9 months ago to take the car out of limp mode and it worked very effectively as it has not happened since. I have also used it this Saturday to see if it will clear the fault, time will tell, as yet it has not reocurred. See subtitle for other issues.
I am a smoker and interior has the evidence including one small burn on back seat, please see photo.

History.Dual mass flywheel changed by previous owner, I have receipt together with others detailing work from 2010 2013.I have receipts for work done in the last 2 years when I have been the owner.  New battery. New glo plugs. Water pump and cambelt. New front spring. Parts and labour receipt for service I have the last 2 MOTs.  2 keys. Owners manual and Haynes manual (although for different engine, handy for everything else though.). Cash on collection only, no returns.
