I"m selling this Smart Fortwo coupe on behalf of my dad. He"s towed it behind his motor home since he bought it 3 years ago but he sold the motor home this summer and bought a caravan instead.He therefore has no need for the car so has asked me to sell it for him.
      It"s in great condition for it"s age. The only bad points are the clear laquer has come of in places on the doors and bumper so it looks more of a cream colour than old english white and the radio cassette won"t turn on. Dad said it may need a code to work it or the fuse might need checking.
      It"s been serviced every year at his local garage and has had new track rods, front brake discs and pads, new gas struts on the rear hatch and a new air filter.There"s also a new oil filter in the boot that hasn"t been changed as it"s only done about 4000 miles since it was serviced last.
     It"s fitted with the wider alloy wheels off a Smart roadster and all the tyres have good tread and there"s no curb damage to the wheels.There"s also a set of standard Smart Fortwo alloys to go with the car, again with good tyres and no curb damage.
     The towall A frame is a professionally made and fitted device and there"s a socket under the front bumper that allows you to use the cars lights when towing.All that"s needed is to add some stick on triangle reflectors(Dad"s kept his set to go on one of his trailers).
     As my dad has no space to keep it at his house in Somerset I drove it last weekend to my house in South Wales and it runs really well. It was my first time driving a semi automatic and was quite impressed with it, especially on the motorway. For a 3 cylinder petrol with a turbo it"s quite nippy and the 6 gears are easy to use, either via the stick or the paddles on the steering wheel. I had considered keeping it for my daughter to learn to drive in as it a low insurance group (7) and tax group (£30 per year) but she"s only just turned 16 so has got a while to go before she can drive it.
     It"s a great little fun car to drive and easy to park.So much so I"ve been using all week to drive to work but my dad want"s to sell it so it has to go.
