Lotus ELISE S2 111S REG Jan 1st 2005 I’m the 5 Th owner.
Unfortunately due to my son starting to learn to drive I cannot afford to finance a car for myself and also him , which means my pride and joy has to go to be replaced with something far more practical ( and inferior ) to the Lotus !.  I believe asking price is extremely fair considering this 2005 model is the last of the true “British cars” with the VVC engine in them, and if it was perfect I would be asking a fair bit more and to be honest it wouldn’t take much to make it perfect either.Im 49 years old and Insurance costs me £318.00 with Adrian Flux and tax is £170.00 for 12 months.
After buying the car I took it to a mate of mine to check it over mechanically who’s a rover engine specialist (engine was perfect) and he’s serviced it ever since, last service I had  all fluids were changed even the transmission fluid , I’ve left the timing belts alone as the cars only done virtually 11,000 miles in three years !.
Clutch is high but operates fine, it has the normal stone chips to the front as all Lotus do! ,
Good points it runs fine and looks ace!
Bad points driver door has a small crack in the fibreglass where somebody has adjusted the window angle too much and the screw has protruded slightly from the inside of the door (last pic) easy to fix but i haven’t bothered.(last pic )
Driver’s seat has wear at top right hand side of seat (see last but one pic)
Car idles at correct speed but rev count shows 500 rpm more on dial don’t know why.
Alarm light is permanently flashing , I’ve covered with a plastic dot and you can’t see it flashing unless you drive in the dark , which I seldom do so it doesn’t bother me , car and alarm run and work fine so again I’ve just left it alone
Inner door sill panels are both marked when people including myself have got in and out trying not to catch them with shoes etc gods knows how you actually get in without marking them!

New headlamp covers fitted and plastic film protectors on both light and also on indicators and driving lights. , sorry no receipt kept as wife would kill me if she knew the cost of them.
New emblem badge front as it was marked.
Rear under tray powder coated satin black, looks loads better than the original. !
