vehicle description:
I purchased this cay may 2015, from a trader who had taken it in part exchange on another car.. rd tax class at the time was as disabled. Purchased it on a Saturday, I needed the car for work on Monday & found that taxing it was a problem, it had to be reclassified . Could not be completed on line, had to go to the post office so I sent my partner at the time to tax it. I had filled in the wrong forms, so my partner tax it & registered it in her name, 6 months later i transferred it back to my name. On the reg doc it indicates the car has had 5 previous owner & my self, but it has been in my name twice & my partners, so actually it has actually only had 3 previous owners & my self.. My original purchase receipt shows when I purchased it. It was only purchased as a temporary vehicle as the cam belt had failed on my previous car, so I scrapped it, I when used the Rover regularly for around 3 months, Before buying a Peugeot 406 off my uncle, I needed a larger car to tow my caravan. Since then it has only been used once or twice a week. I have covered approx 7000 miles since owning the car. The car suffered from the usual manufacturing faults that these cars suffer from.. Had a defective heater it would not blow warm when to first got the car & I found that it was due to a defective cylinder head gasket. The original gasket was paper, so it was upgraded to a steel gasket & has not been a problem since. When doing the cylinder head gasket also replaced the cylinder head bolts, full cylinder head gasket set, cam belt & tensioner, water pump, spark plugs, All filters Engine oil & coolant. The front brakes were also binding, so I replaced discs, pads & calipers.. The sunroof seal was also replaced, & also fitted a new set of tyres, exhaust & later replaced the battery.. There has been a number of other items replaced but I can not think what they were now. I have a folder full of receipts etc listing what has been replaced & when. I would still be using it if I did not have the requirements for a larger car.. No warranty or guarantee given on the car & is sold as seen, no returns. Overall the new owner will be getting a lot for their money..
