vehicle description:
My wife’s car, for sale. We love this and will be sad to see it go – it’s nippy, economical (50+mpg is easily achievable), cheap to insure and it drives brilliantly.

The car:MoT next due May 2016, taxed until Nov this yearMajor service done May 2015 - timing belt/aux belt/water pump changed, full service, rear discs replaced. £595 of work, invoice included..It’s a completely standard car with no modsapart from an aftermarket JVC Bluetooth/MP3 stereo and a hidden drawer/tray unit from an Elegance spec car, replacing the original double-DIN radio. There’s a USB port in the glovebox which connects to a rear input for MP3s etcIt’s literally just clocked past 100k miles last weekPlenty of history to validate, and most of this has been motorway miles. (Will increase slightly as it’s still in use)Air-con serviced last year, blowing nice and coldFront tyres (Uniroyal Rainsport) were replaced Oct 2014, not done many miles and ~7mm tread, rears are ~6mmGrey/white upholstery is generally in excellent condition. Just a couple of very minor marks, no rips/tears. It’s never been smoked in.I’ve had it since summer 2010, 1 owner before me.V5 present, 2 keys, spare wheel, HPI/finance clear, loads of service history and invoices - lots of main dealer (Pulman Skoda, Durham), some trusted independent.
This should provide someone with some really good fun and inexpensive motoring for not a lot of cash. However, obviously it’s not a new car so a list of what’s not so good follows. Now, I think I’m being quite picky here considering the age of the car, but It makes it easier for everyone if you turn up knowing about these things than not. There are a few cosmetic issues as you might expect on a car which has covered 100k, but nothing major.Few stone chips and scratches here and there, mainly on bonnetOne scuff on offside rear wheel arch, have tried to show this in photosWindscreen has a small chip repair, just to right of driver’s line of sight, and a few other scratches - all from previous owner (never bothered me)I had to replace one of the brake calipers last year in a rush and couldn’t wait to get hold of the Skoda green one, so it could do with painting to match the othersSome kerbing on the alloys, see pictures of all 4 wheelsGlass on driver’s wing mirror has a little corrosion from the metal backing. Just needs new mirror glass fitted if it bothers you.Nearside front wheel hub is rumbling. A new hub assembly is on order, and the price here is for that fitted and the problem solved. (But you can buy the car as-is and I"ll knock the cost off, I"m using it and it drives absolutely fine).
Our only reason for sale – we’re getting an electric car for the commute - mixed feelings about this but we’ve made the decision!. We should really have made the call before spending six hundred quid getting it serviced a couple of months back I suppose, but our loss is your gain :-)
A few terms of sale:Any test drive or inspection is welcome, but to drive it before it’s paid for you’ll need to show me your own fully comp insurance cover note. 3rd party isn’t enough – sorry. (Otherwise you’ll have to put up with me being in the pilot seat ;-)The car’s available for viewings most evenings after 6pm and weekends. The car’s usually in Whitley Bay NE25, but I work in Durham DH1 Mon-Fri if that’s easier to get to after work/lunchtimes.If you do bid/offer without seeing the car, it is to buy it - not negotiate on the price later. I strongly advise you to come to see the car as I’m pretty sure the first to see it will buy it. Payment by cash upon collection only, unless you"re happy to wait a week for a cheque to clear.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence - any questions, please just ask!
