Here for sale is my Grandad"s car. He is 90 years old and has decided it is time to stop driving. I am looking after the sale for him. The car is located in Harlow, Essex and not Dunmow as my location states. My Grandad will be available to sign the V5 and Sale Receipt and i can ask him any questions you may have, but he obviously doesn"t want to deal with the sale direct as i"m sure everyone can understand.
He bought this in August 2014 when it had done 60800 miles. It has now only done 64991 miles, so you can see how little it has been used in the last year and a half. It was a direct replacement for one that he had before which gave up on him.
When he bought the car he had new front and rear brake discs and pads, a new nearside drop link and new rear light cluster seals.
It was last serviced at 60129 miles and it has its service book/manual with the car.
It is MOT"D until 10 December 2016.
The car runs perfectly, starts first time and everything works as it should. It has been garage stored when not in use. The interior is in great overall condition.
It has its V5 document, service book/manual and a few receipts for the work he carried out in the time he has owned it. He is the fourth owner.
The car does have some cosmetic defects due to a few recent parking issues, hence my Grandad deciding its time to stop driving. I feel its best to be honest so as not to waste anyones time. They are listed as follows:-
1. There are two tears (see pics) to the left hand side rear seat. These could be stitched back up.2. There are marks to both wing mirrors (see pics) where he has caught them on the garage door arms when parking.3. There are two scratches, one on the front wing, and one on one of the doors. These are about 30-40cm long.4. There is a dent/scratches to the bodywork side skirt below the drivers door where he hit a high kerb while parking (see pics).5. The alloys have corroded, which is fairly standard for a car of this age. These could be refurbished very easily if the new owner so wished.
This is a genuine car which has been well looked after mechanically and structurally. It just needs its cosmetic defects sorting to make it a 100% glorious again.
