Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Cost £92,000 new
2 Previous Owners
MOT until 31st May 2016
Private Registration optional
Garaged overnight from new
Full Aston Martin Service History
Virtually Immaculate Condition Throughout
This is a March 2007 registered Aston Martin V8 Vantage currently on a private number plate, but it would be on an 07-plate once if it was re-registered.
It is very rare because it has virtually every optional factory extra fitted from new, plus a brand new Tracker Cat 6 system. It took me many months of searching for the exact model I wanted with some very important options on it, such as the 19” alloys, Bluetooth phone, cruise control and HID headlamps. It was nigh-on impossible to find a car with all these items fitted, and one that was in the colour combination I wanted, such as Meteorite Silver (which is actually metallic Grey) with Onyx Black interior.
I also didn’t want a car that had half-a-dozen previous owners or was anything short of immaculate condition (relative to the age), as lots that I saw had many marks to the bodywork, big rust spots on the doors, and excessive stone chipping. I also wanted the wheels to be pristine and spotless, and know that previous owners had always garaged the car overnight.
It was vital that the car had never left the Main Dealer Aston Martin network for servicing and repairs – and this one hadn’t. It has always been maintained by just two prestigious AM Dealers. Finally, it was imperative that the car had never been smoked in by anyone, and that it drove like new.
This is why it took me so long to track this car down, as it was the only one that met all the criteria above, and I saw lots before I bought. The service history is fully stamped up in the Vantage Book, plus has a service summary print-out, and a copy of the receipt for every service carried out, so you can see exactly what work has been done, when, and how much it cost as follows:

It has very recently (about 500 miles ago) had both forward O2 sensors replaced at a cost of £600 as these are common failure items that need replacing. This was done by Aston Martin directly. Also, on the 14th December it has just had a new Alternator drive belt and modified pulley fitted by the same AM dealer at a cost of £300, and was fully valeted and detailed by them to an exceptional standard. It is literally now ready to drive away in a mechanically and cosmetically perfect state.
The car’s first owner covered 36,000 miles up to 2010, and these miles were mostly motorway commuting. The second owner had it until 2015 and covered up to 82,000 miles exclusively on the motorway, as his home and office where he drove to every day were within 1 mile of a major motorway junction. Therefore the car has really led an easy life, unstressed and with little wear-and-tear that you might expect from a car that has just been out on weekends going for a blast. Both owners garaged the car overnight so the paintwork is still in exceptional condition.
Although the car came out of the factory with an Aston Martin Tracker device, I had a brand new Category 6 Insurance approved unit fitted so that I trusted it would be state-of-the art and work if I needed it to.! You can monitor the car’s location at any time via a smartphone App, and the subscription is fully transferable and paid on a monthly basis at just £12.
As mentioned above, the car cost £92,000 new which makes it one of the most expensive AM V8’s to be sold in 2007. I have a copy of the original invoice fully detailed as follows:

The car has a switchable sports exhaust meaning you can press a button that controls the exhaust by-pass valves which opens the baffles up to make the car sound louder and better when you want it to, and then it can be quietened down to normal by just pressing the button again. In tunnels, you have to turn it on and open the windows as it sounds glorious even at low revs.
Finally, apart from some perfectly acceptable stone chips to the front bumper and a small amount on the rear arches – both of which are commensurate with a 40k car – the condition is stunning in every respect. The interior is spotless, with even the side of the driver’s seat bolster showing very little evidence of wear (and certainly much, much better than perhaps you’d imagine).
All 4 tyres were replaced this year with factory recommended-fit Bridgestone RE050 tyres at a cost of circa £1,000. Please disregard the overall mileage when considering this car, exactly as I did. You have to judge it and value it according to the condition, pedigree, provenance and extras it has fitted. You will find this is a better car to drive, look at, and be in, than many examples with half this mileage. I know this from the experience of looking at many others.
The only reason I am selling it is because I have just put down a deposit on a DB9 V12 as it has the extra 2 rear seats which I have since realised I need if I am to continue driving an Aston more than once in a blue-moon. I simply am not using this car as much as I had planned as I cannot take my wife and child out together which is making it frustrating. This is a crying shame as I adore it, and want to drive it more but have found that the weekends are the only time I am finding myself being realistically able to use it. Hence the DB9 which I can use more often…
Summary
2 previous owners
New Cat 6 Tracker
£9,000 worth of factory options
Full Aston Martin dealer service history
Virtually immaculate condition throughout
The car comes with the V5 document in my name, MOT & VOSA printout, 3 x Ignition keys and remote transmitters, Tracker certificate, all receipts and invoices from AM dealers, service print-out, and Owner’s Manual with stamped Service History. The private registration will be removed at the time of sale unless the buyer wants to pay extra for it.
The car is available to view near Guildford, Surrey. Only serious buyers please, no time-wasters.
Please feel free to ask any questions, or to request more photographs, which I can email you. I would strongly recommend seeing more photographs as 12 which eBay allow are not enough to do it justice. You can contact me on 01483 516306.
Many thanks
David
