Up for sale is a 2007 Fiat Sedici (I didn"t know what one was either) which is a Suzuki SX4 4 wheel drive re-badged as a Fiat.
This was taken as part exchange knowing it needed a fair bit of mechanical work but is otherwise a fairly well presented car.
We don"t have much service history for the car but some bills for recent work and we have just done a fair bit to it before it was ready to sell on. It also has MOT till late April next year.
In the last year it has had 4 new tyres, new front pads and discs, a new alternator, new alternator belt, new AC pump bearings, AC re-gassed (blows ice cold), new glow plugs, as well as a brand new turbocharger and all oil pipes and the Sump removed, fully cleaned out and refitted. (With new gaskets etc obviously)
We also hot flushed the engine oil and changed the oil and filter with decent fully synthetic oil twice after changing the turbo as well as changing the diesel filter and air filter. its effectively just had a major service.
The interior is very clean and well presented, everything works as it should. The 4wd system and Lock all works etc. Paintwork is very bright has had a good clean and Polish. There"s a couple of small dents in the boot, and one on the drivers door. Some scratches on the roof where it has been used to carry stuff in the past (but you"d have to be incredibly tall to notice) and a few other normal age related marks and scuffs. Nothing serious.
It drives very well though the engine has plenty of grunt and has a 6 speed manual gearbox for economy.
The only mechanical fault we have found with the car is it can sometimes take a good few cranks to fire up from cold but as soon as it has been started it always restarts fine and runs like a dream. Probably an easy enough fix for someone with knowledge of these engines.
I must be honest and state that the V5 says this was previously written off as a category D but the car is very straight and cat D is for very minor damage. The book value of this car is around £2500 though a bit less for a cat D but we are starting this at £500 with no reserve so someone may get a complete bargain.
