Thank you for looking at the listing for our 2007 Roadster, if you are looking for the best example on the market you may have just found it. This is a genuine private sale due to our expanding family. We have owned this car since 10/11/2013 it has 3 former keepers. We previously only had classic cars and when my partner decided she wanted a practical and reliable modern car for daily use this is what we settled on! We sought out the best condition, lowest mileage example and it happens to also be one of the last registered. Previous mature owners have kept it garaged and used it as a sunny weekend toy. In our ownership it has been kept on the drive and used for a daily 5 mile gentle commute through the countryside (adding only around 4k miles per year).  Starting with the cosmetic condition the paintwork is excellent, better than you expect on a 2007 car and certainly consistent with the low mileage. There are a some light marks and scratches none of which show in the pictures and I have to be looking hard to find them. The only bit that is noticeable is a small stone chip on the o/s wing which has damaged the lacquer but not the paint itself. Overall it looks more like a four year old car. The paint finish is even, all looks original. The colour coded front and rear panels on these late models does make them look like the Brabus. Also commonly mistaken for a lotus even by people who should know better. Interior is in excellent condition and very clean, seats are suitably supportive, comfortable and have no bolster wear. Carpet is pristine, always covered with mats so has no wear at all. Mechanical condition is known to be completely spot on and the car has an impeccable service history. It drives precisely as it should with no faults apparent and EVERYTHING on the car is working. The engine does not require oil topping up between services and has never used any coolant. Oil and coolant are both clean without signs of contamination and the bottom of the engine is clean and dry, (no oil leaks from engine or turbo). Runs smoothly and performs very well. 80bhp is not a lot but being turbo charged it has a lot of torque and because it weights half that of a regular car it accelerates more like 160bhp. Handling in these cars is superb, comparable to my friends Lotus Elise which has a similar mid engined layout. The suspension is refined and not at all harsh but then remains completely flat and composed through fast bends. There are no knocks, creaks or other funny noises from the suspension or drivetrain.  The service book has been stamped yearly despite the low annual mileage, mostly from Mercedes or Smart specialists and some invoices are present to back up the servicing. We also have all six MOT certificates from new further confirming the mileage of less than 39k to be genuine. The annual mileages can also be checked on the VOSA MOT history database. Service stamps: 18/6/08 - 8,786miles, 2439 - 14,857miles, 672010 - 20,610 miles, 3/11/11 - 21969miles, 9/11/2012 - 28751miles, 27/6/2014 - 34675 Has also had another oil change since the last service stamp when the sump was replaced with one that has a drain plug. This is an owners club recommended upgrade to avoid the possibility of leaving oil sludge behind in the bottom of the sump when changing the oil. This work was carried out on 15/11/2014 at 36,144miles, invoice present but book not stamped. Changing the oil from now on will no longer require the pump extractor. We knew exactly what to look for when buying and the car has required nothing but servicing and MOT tests in our two years of ownership. We did replace the rear tyres, which still have most of their tread, the fronts are half worn but simply refuse to wear down enough to replace. Running costs are very low with tax at 120p/a insurance around £300 and excellent fuel economy. Service items are cheap and could be serviced at home as easily as any other car. The known weaknesses of water ingress have not affected us since greasing all the seals and re-forming the rear drainage channel as recommended by the owners club. We don"t park under trees anyway, but I have also checked the drainage points around the front scuttle are unobstructed. The carpet is dry all round on top and underneath. In summary this is known to be an excellent example that has not shown or developed a single fault in two years of enjoyable hassle free ownership. Looking at the current market I believe 5k would be the realistic dealer price given the age, mileage and condition. This is a genuine private sale and I am confident you will not find one anywhere near as good for less money. I would not buy a car without giving it a very thorough inspection and I would not expect you to either, so please view before buying! You can have as much time as you need to look at the car, any inspection is welcome you will find it is exactly as described. The car remains in use, taxed and insured. I can take you out in it or you may test drive it with proof of insurance entitlement to drive other cars (comes with most fully comp policies). Sale due to expecting our second child, my partner does not want to be at home on maternity leave with two kids and a car with only two seats. We will consider a swap/ part exchange for something with a back seat, economical and in good condition. For example Smart for four (Brabus?), 500, BMW MINI ONE D Fiesta/Corsa, Golf, Fabia, or anything of that sort of size (pref diesel). Condition and service history is more important to us than age and mileage.  We do also like classic and retro cars like mk2 Golf GTi 5dr or Porsche 924S or 944, Eclat/Excel etc. Please send us pictures or bring what you have to view.
