This is a beautiful example of the commodious, versatile and rare C8 range. This car has the 2.0 16 valve HDi Turbo Diesel engine with 136 bhp, coupled to a six speed manual gearbox. It can return a very respectable 39.8 mpg on the combined cycle, is a group 11 insurance and costs £270 per year to tax. Performance is lively too, with a top speed of 118 mph and a 0-60 time of 11.0 seconds. Obviously the C8 is not intended to be sporty but it is by no means a bad drive - for such a big car the handling is neat, with well weighted steering and a very comfortable ride quality. With its punchy Turbo Diesel engine offering plenty of acceleration without the need for high revs, lofty driving position giving a great view and easy to reach dashboard mounted gearshift - this is a relaxing, pleasant car to drive and a great long distance cruiser. Space is what this vehicle is all about and it belongs in the rare category of being a "true" seven seater in that it is actually capable of transporting seven fully grown adults in comfort. With all seven seats in place the luggage area is pretty small, but remove one or both of the rear seats and it is massive. With both rows of rear seats removed there is more cargo space than most vans! This should be a very safe vehicle as it scored a top rated five star result in the Euro NCAP crash tests and comes with a raft of safety gear. This inlcudes driver and passenger airbags (with passengers deactivation switch), side airbags, curtain airbags, ISOFIX child seat mountings on the outer middle row seats and both third row seats, ABS brakes and ESP stability and traction control. This C8 has a brilliant pedigree.
