I bought this car over a year ago with the intentions of fixing it and selling it on for a profit but i don"t have the time nor inclination to put the hours in to get it fixed so selling as is.
The good thingsOnly 48000 miles1 previous ownerService historyBody work and exterior in Generally good condition apart from a bump on the passengers side door which i was quoted £300 to fix. It would also benefit from a good valet. Nice clean set of alloysFully checked and reconditioned InjectorsTwo sets of keys
Bad thingsWhen i bought the car it smoked badly and had a knocking noise from the engine. I initially thought it was injectors so got them all checked at a diesel specialist and those that failed were reconditioned. This didn"t fix the problem and i then found the turbo had blown. I removed the cylinder head to clean it as all the oil from the blown turbo had coated it and the inlet manifold...i also took the time and checked the valves to see if this was causing the knocking sound but all looked ok. I bought another turbo from a scrap yard and this turned out to be false economy as the seals where knackered on this as well, although not quite as bad as the last ones so less smoke coming out of the exhaustUpshot is the car runs but smokes a bit and still knocks.Will need a recon turbo and the knocking sound from the engine investigating
It"s too good to scrap so am hoping some-one will want to fix the bad bits and have themselves a nice cheap car or else use it as a doner car.Will need taking away on a trailer
