2010 VolkswagenGolf 1.6 TDi Blue motion We bought this Golf for one of our employees in 2011; it had been dealer registered and had done just a thousand miles. Our man has used it for his daily commute from Haslemere to Guildford. It has had a pretty easy life. The driver is one of the tightest people I know; the kind of guy who coasts downhill to save fuel. He has been immensely proud of his mpg figures (65+ mpg), and as a result I would bet the car has rarely if ever seen 80mph! We have a chap who comes to the offices every week to clean our vehicles, so it has been regularly valeted. It’s done 63,000 miles. There are a few stone chips here and there, and there is some light kerbing on a couple of the wheels, but nothing you wouldn’t expect of a four year old car. But what distinguishes this particular Golf is that it’s fitted with a full interior from the top of the range Golf R32, including a flat bottomed leather steering wheel. This really does lift the car. The seats are so much more comfortable and supportive. They also just make the cabin a nicer place to be. We do have the original seats and steering wheel which are as new, and which you’re welcome to have. You could, I’m sure, still get a grand for the Golf R bits. We paid a lot more than that when we bought them on eBay. The car also has a Parrott, hands-free phone kit, which we’re throwing in. Glass’s Guide tells us that the Private Sale price is between £9,170 and £10,570. We’ve priced ours at £7,999 for a quick sale, and with the extras on the car, we think that it represents something of a bargain. You can come and see the vehicle at any time at our offices on the outskirts of Guildford. Evening viewings can also be arranged. As the 105ps model, the Golf is registered for central London congestion charge exemption up to 24th June 2016. But I don’t know if this alters when the V5 changes to a new owner.
