Lotus launched the 2-Eleven in 2007 as a track focused variant of its standard setting Elise. The car was based on the already stripped down model, the Exige S, but it was to be lightened further and given even more power. The weight has been reduced to 670kgs and the excellent supercharged Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine now gives 252BHP enabling the 2 Eleven to reach 60MPH in just 3.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 150MPH. This power to weight ratio is similar to an F1 car of the early 60s!
The 2 Eleven is a result of years of experience and incorporates all the best bits of its predecessors especially the body, so where the 340R’s body was hugely expensive to produce and repair being one-piece, the 2 Eleven is made up of no less than 13 separate panels that can be removed quickly and easily thus keeping costs and repair time down.
This 2011 example is a road going version in the stunning white, red and black livery with black seats and it comes with its original hard passenger tonneau, cockpit rain sheet and indoor cover. It has covered only 1,400 miles with 2 owners. A good record of its service History and MOTs from 2014 are in the history file. A spare set of keys and a Lotus memory stick are also enclosed along with the owner’s hand book, proof of purchase and all other service documents.
