Here we have a Hyundai I10 Active registered Feb 2013 so is just 3 years old and just had it"s first MOT. The mileage has just clicked over to 22000 miles. It"s in stunning shiny red and it really does look and drive just like new, immaculate inside and so quiet.
A little about me, I am a (or at least trying to be) retiring mechanic who has been a mechanic for over 40yrs and as your body constantly reminds you it is not as young as it used to be! so i am trying to cut back on lifting engines and gearboxes and spending hours trying to diagnose intermittent electronic faults, and use all the contacts I have made throughout the years to purchase select quality low mileage, late model vehicles, mainly the compact type which are low cost on tax, insurance, and a massive mpg with low maintenance costs, and these little I10"s fit the bill perfectly.
This one has come directly from one of the major insurance companies and is obvious it was someone pride and joy previous to the slight incident. I only buy very slight damage ( no chassis, air bag, steering or suspension damage) this one has had the plastic bumper replaced (cracked) drivers h/light (plastic mounting broken off) and the drivers wing (could have repaired but by replacing it makes the use of filler totally obsolete!)and now the car is back to original and still with 1/2 a tank of petrol!
All parts replaced were genuine Hyundai parts and I have now serviced the car, and have put it through the MOT so the car is ready to go.I have done a check on the car and there is no finance on the car and only has 1 owner, road tax is £20 per year and should return nearly 70 mpg, unfortunately it will be on the DVLA database as having a claim against it, but means nothing whatsoever. I think it is to stop people from maybe claiming several times for the same incident from different insurance companies.
With this one being the 2013 active model it has all the bits and pieces you need like the air-con, alloy wheels, all electric windows and mirrors and the multi media connections for your phone etc, obviously the spare is unused and the jack and everything is all there with plenty of hidden storage in the back and seats fold flat to carry large items, they really are a very versatile car and still has 2 years of its 5 year warranty left.
