Right here goes. I am selling this well loved 2001 Alfa Romeo Spider 2.0 TSpark on behalf of my mum. This car has been owned since 09/06/2008, and in its time has had plenty of money spent on it. This is a very reluctant sale but my mum no longer has time to spend on the niggly Alfa surprises, these cars are for Alfa enthusiasts if you’re a true Alfa lover you’ll know exactly what I mean. This car has been very reliable in its time since 2008 only needing for general wear and tear repairs and the odd Alfa traditions which can be seen in the paperwork. The car has recently just failed the MOT which is another minor reason for the sale. I have attached a photo of the issues it failed on, in my opinion for an enthusiast of these cars these are minor issues. The car itself runs and drives superb starts every time. Mileage is 114,520 Bad points besides the MOT :The roof is temperamental on operating (like most Spiders - the odd tap with a hammer trick normally sorts it. Hammer not included)There is a patch of rust coming through the rear passengers arch.Minor scratches round the paintwork.Slight leak coming from I believe the gearbox seal. Locks with key no problem but the central locking fob is intermittent.Could benefit from a polish but still shines lovely.Reg for car is MT51 YXM
Good points in its time of ownership:It has just had two new front tyres before MOT.Recently had the front bumper resprayed. Stainless steel lifetime guarantee exhaust all the way back. (Sounds lovely and does not drone at all) Timing belt, aux belt, and tensioner on 28/06/2010Both steering rack arms and track rod ends on 01/05/2012 Gearbox is in perfect condition. 2 x keys. Rocker cover gasket on 02/03/2019 Crankshaft sensor on 24/05/2019 New rear window within last two years.
I really don’t know how to price this, some Spiders are going for over £3000 and others in bad condition that don’t run are going for £800 + so it’s tricky. I believe I have priced it fair to what I’ve seen others at but I’m open to sensible offers.
I’ve tried to list as much information as I can/got from my mum, probably loads of other little bits missed out.
