The Eos is based on the superb VW Golf platform, but has a much lower and more sporty stance. It is a handsome car which provides wind-in-the-hair thrills, as well as a smart looking hard top coupe for when the sunshine turns to showers. At the touch of a button the superb electric folding hard top roof does its stuff - folding away in seconds to reveal smooth and sexy convertible lines that are guaranteed to turn heads. If you don"t want to brave the elements but you still want some fresh air, the Eos has a sliding and tilting glass sunroof which is also electrically operated. Of course, being a Volkswagen, it all works with a precision and quality that rival offerings could only dream of.
This car offers an excellent drive and is as practical as a conventional hard top - It even has 4 proper sized seats, and a decent sized boot. With the roof in place its no different to a normal hard-top coupe, with virtually no wind noise or loss in visibility. This contrasts greatly with soft-tops of old who were cold and claustrophobic with the roof up. ABS brakes and ESP stability control ensure our Eos remains safe and controllable, even on slippery road surfaces.
