This much loved A Reg Land Rover 110 pick-up was restored 10 years ago to be my first car.  
In recent years it has been a little neglected and a few parts have been borrowed for the other family Land Rovers so it is due for another restoration.
The Land Rover was originally a V8 station wagon but when I bought it the engine was missing.  The chassis was not in great condition at the time so was thoroughly restored with a replacement rear cross member, 2 outriggers and a number of plates.  Much of the body was removed so the whole chassis could be sand blasted and painted.
I rebuilt the Land Rover using a Perkins 4.236 diesel engine and conversion kit to mate with the 4 speed gearbox for the V8.  I also fitted a new clutch and overdrive to give 6 gears (overdrive can be used in 3rd and 4th gear).  It should be a straight forward conversion to go back to the original V8 Engine if desired.  The existing Perkins Engine is solid if a little noisy and can manage 80 miles per hour.    
With a little work this has the potential to be a solid vehicle although it may look a little bedraggled at the moment.
