VIBE LOTUS Proton ORIGINAL EARLY MODEL
SHOW CAR AT SOME STAGE
I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR THE LAST 5 1/2 YEARS.
RELOCATION AND LACK OF TIME/FINANCE MEAN THAT I WILL NEVER GIVE THIS CAR THE
ATTENTION IT DESERVES
HAVING LOST THE SECURE KEY SOME 5 YEARS AGO, I CONTACTED PENINSULA Proton (DEVON)
TO ARRANGE A NEW KEY, I HAD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE ON RECOVERY TO THE GARAGE TO GET RE-PROGRAMMED.
IT WAS ONLY THEN, THAT I REALISED HOW RARE THIS VEHICLE WAS.
The receptionist, showed me the on screen notes, stating "not to be sold before sept 2000" - being one of a very few on a V PLATE.
My own research - emails to prove - indicate this was one of the first Protons to enter the UK, and was used and registered by Proton as the first UK owner,
It was used by them around the dealerships before being farmed out to a west country dealership 2 years later.
At some early stage THE VEHICLE underwent a complete, interior revamp.
Although it cannot be assertained whether this was via Proton themselves or an individual. Proton UK ceased in 2007 and records are longer available.
The whole interior has been "VIBED" everything, seats, dash, vinyls, handles, gearstick, pedals and much more.
I am finding more as I go - uprated 17 wolfrace wheels with 205/45/17"s with excellent trread.
There is a full straight through twin "LONGLIFE" stainless steel exhaust (receipted)
Behind each wheel is an illumiation ring, however, I have not tried or figured out how it works.
The key selling point, apart from its rareity, is the sound system.
I"m no expert, but envious onlookers, have told me its a serious serious, sound system.
Speakers are original(see photos) but i had someone install some amps to match for performance, as originals had long gone,
I have been told the rear parcel speaKers arent up to much, but the twin vibe subs, are "kicking"
LEXUS STYLE ANGEL EYES TO REAR, REAR WIPER MISSING, ALSO DOOR CARDS, AND SOME INTERIOR FADING TO THE INTERIOR REFIT
AS STATED THIS IS AN IDEAL PROJECT, HORN NEEDS ATTENTION

 The car itself has a few dinks,but very little rust ( one window edging)
Please note I have owned this vehicle 5 1/2 years and have only done less than 2000 miles - 42391 in total.
I havent done the vehicle justice in my time, and its now obvious I never will.
Service history to 26k - Mot"d end of July.
I have no doubt it will sail through an mot, but I have relocated, am skint and have nowhere to store this rareity
An ideal first project, or use as is - If you know about these motors, you"ll know how rare a normal version is
Proton styling based on mitsubishi colt with Lotus incredible handling
I wish to be as honest as possible, little defects, include screws missing on wheel arch mouldings, tow loop cover missing. chrome door sill guards, screws are rusty, I will list more if I spot any
I am more than happy to show people this car
