Up for auction here is my Alfa Romeo 2.0 Twin Spark silver four door saloon.
I have had her for a year now and the Alfa bug has bitten me so I have just bought a slightly newer Alfa 2.4 litre turbo diesel version instead, hence this car has to go!
Mileage is pretty low for its year at 95K and once warmed up pulls smoothly and strongly with a delightful sporty snarl, especially on open A roads and motorways.
Good stuff......  good tyres with plenty of tread, nice spoke style alloy wheels in fair condition, full black leather interior in very good condition except for the drivers seat bolster wear (no splits/tears).Carbon Fibre style black dash and centre console with original Alfa Romeo branded radio/cassette player. Good windscreen, no chips or cracks. Good space saver spare.
The MOT has just expired and the tax runs out at the end of this month, but she was in regular use until last week and took me across France and back last summer.
She is a 15 year old car and is far from perfect so sold as Spares or Repairs and here are the issues I know of....
Left rear shock absorber needs replacing as the lower spring has sagged down the leg to the point where it is almost touching the tyre (clears the spare wheel safely as its not as wide if you need to drive it away).
Needs a side light bulb.
Air con needs regassing, doesn"t cool at all.... heater works really well though!
Could do with a new set of spark plugs as it misses on one cylinder when cold but runs perfectly after a few miles warming up.
Cosmetically there is a little wear to the drivers seat bolster which could easily be touched up and it could do with new badges front and back.
Dents.....  behind both rear doors and the right rear door (see photo) have had glancing blows with something hard at some time and are dented/scratched. Small dent to corner of bumper.
Slight but long crease along top of left front wing, visible in photo.
Drivers side mirror has a hole in the housing and a crack..... casing rattles at high speed but is still secure.
All in all it"s a cheap to buy sold as seen project car that with a bit of TLC and some work could be a superb car again, one for an enthusiast to work on.Offered with a starting price of just £25 and no reserve....... she has to go!
I would say she should be trailered away but would still drive if distance not too far.
