Hello and welcome to this auction for the sale of my much loved Alfa 156 GTA Sportwagon.
If you are looking at this advert then you doubtless know what a rare car this is, but in this this exceptional condition is doubly so.  As a complete Alfa nut I have ensured that it has had everything it needs.  So many cars run ok and might look tidy but have been neglected because proper servicing is not cheap.  To put them right can cost a fortune.
This GTA is, however, a genuine mileage, 3 owner GTA, completely unmodified apart from a stainless Autodelta cat- back exhaust.  All the big jobs are done, including a full (and I mean very full) service including belts last year (around 2,500 miles ago) with receipt, two brand new Pirelli p-zeros, a brand new genuine Alfa ECU and alloy wheel refurbishment done less than 50 miles ago.
Very well equipped with heated black leather bucket seats with blue inserts (bolsters good), genuine GTA floor mats, BOSE sound, original toolkit.  Load cover in perfect condition.  One jacking point cover is missing but I have one on order and it will be painted and fitted before sale.
The car is every bit as good as it looks in the pictures.  Comes with history, original book pack and service book, 4 keys.  Very original, correct stereo and boot mounted CD changer with code car; lots of receipts.  In my ownership the following work has been done:
Full service with belts (including auxiliary), tensioners, plugs, gaskets, Paraflu coolant and ionised water, running correct Selenia 10-60 race oil (all genuine Alfa at a cost of £700 for the parts alone)New alternator (fitting it is a huge, exhaust-off job)New Autodelta stainless steel cat- back exhaust2 new Pirelli p-zeros (other two also Pirelli p-zeros, no nasty cheap and mismatched tyres)Brand new, genuine Alfa ECU at a cost of £1,250 for the ECU alone (beware "repaired" ECU"s as they will invariably fail)New throttle bodySome cosmetic paint to side skirts and front bumper to deal with stone chipsAlloy wheel refurbishmentThese cars are rare but I doubt that there is a better example for sale anywhere in the UK at the present time.  Being a 12 year old Alfa, it does have its foibles.  The aircon is not cold- suspect the aircon radiator.  Pump operates fine and quietly.  There are some stone chips here and there, mainly to the bonnet and the odd minor paint blemish and mark.  There is a small crack in the OS front wheel arch liner.  I am being fussy, but please come and judge for yourself. Very happy to show the car and accompany a test drive if you are insured. 
Now for the boring stuff.  The car has to go as I am buying a property and need to release some cash.  However, I am not giving it away.  The reserve is set sensibly (please don"t ask what it is set at), especially given the £3,500 or so spent over the last 18 months.
