Hello,
For people who dont have time/intention to read on details a very short description:
The car comes with:- original wallets with manuals- 2 x keys- 12 months MOT- spare wheel incl. tools- service history (partial)
- many new parts incl. clutch, turbo hose, brand new alloys, and many more.
This is the long description for Alfa fans, or people interested in the history of the car.
Finding the carIt took me a lot of time and wasted miles to go and view car advertised by traders in Luton and London areas. Cars prices in region of £2500-£3500 were absolutely rubbish, with repair lists longer than the car mileage. I am not generalizing but this was my experience. I have seen a car for £2750, which look pristine on photos on Autotrader but: had all warning lights on, ripped seat, gutted radio, ECU fault, breaks and suspension in need of an overhaul, has been painted everywhere, had flat tire and buckled wheels… yeah… imagine that. The trader was still emphasizing how good the car was… I wasted a day of my time and £30 diesel just to see a car which wasn’t worth even a grand.
I bought this one from trader in Bishops Stortford for negotiated fair price - as a project. At the first glance car needed few major things to be done (incl. clutch and dripping high pressure power steering hoses), but it presented good and honest base for me.
The WorkThe initial work I carried out (done by RS Motors in Royston), we are talking here new quality parts, not second hand or refurbished:- recent MOT work done at £430 pcm, which included: new RHS suspension arms, new rear tyres.- engine service- thermostat with thermostat body- rear engine and gearbox mount- front exhaust (with flexi part)- new power steering hoses (£170 alone for the parts)- new clutch kit- new turbo hose- new clutch switch- it had also a good quality detachable towbar fitted. Me any my wife are keen cyclists. As they don’t do roof bars for this model, tow bar was the only option. It is a proper £300 quality fitting, which doesn’t spoil the look of the car.- new set of alloys (actually new) as the original 17ins were all buckled when I bought the car! the ride on them was pretty rough.- calipers have been refreshed so they present well in with the new alloys.
The drive:- it pulls very well with no smoke or loss of power.- I got her going 120-130mph (on german motorway of course).- clutch is new- gearbox is very precise and smooth.

Change of circumstances means that I need to sell it, as saving towards the mortgage starts from today.
