Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6 - this car represents the last of the Alfa Busso V6 models - later V6"s are a GM derived unit).
In classic Rosso Red, with GTA teledial alloys and silver mirrors, and a fairly low mileage for the year (75,000). It"s early 2005 registered, so does not attract the major tax cost increase that the later models have.
This car has been very well looked after, with all service history present and correct. It"s just been serviced and MOT"d, with no advisories. I"ve owned for the last 2 years, during which time I have carried out the following:
Cambelt and tensioners - Summer 20172 new rear shocks and ARB links - Summer 2017New reverse needle in gearbox - Summer 2017Replaced rocker cover gaskets - Summer 2017New alternator - April 2016Replaced handbrake cable - May 2016All the above was carried out by Duncan Slade (Alfanet) in Bristol - bar the Alternator which was completed by the vendor when I bought the car.
Prior to my ownership, the previous owner had completed a lot of work, ticking off all the common/major items which the 3.2v6 models typically need doing. This includes:

Before I purchased the car 2 years ago, I had an inspection done by Italia Speed in Newbury, where it got a clean bill of health.
So, with a fresh cambelt and all the major work now completed, this car should provide plenty of trouble free motoring for years to come. In the 2 years I"ve had the car, the only time it"s failed on me was when one of the rear shock mounts failed. Other than that it"s been reliable, easy to live with, and not that expensive to maintain. The next owner shouldn"t expect to incur major bills any time soon.
The engine is very strong throughout the rev range and doesn"t rattle or smoke. Oil consumption is low - I"ve not needed to top up between services.
Inevitably though, the car does have a few imperfections, generally cosmetic. I"ve listed as follows:
Only 1 key (plenty of places where replacements can be sourced for less than £100 - just stay away from the main dealer prices)Slight front sill damage due to careless tyre change - prior to my ownershipSmall dent in the passenger side rear sill - I was quoted £125 to fix but wasn"t too concerned by itAlloys have been kerbed (again I"ll blame the previous owner!) - would benefit from a recondition A few other very minor bodywork scuffs, but nothing overly concerning or that break the paint.
Internally it"s clean and not too bad for the year. The leather is in pretty good nick, and there are no tears or stitching failures in the front seat bolsters as is common. The tactile material on the door grab handles has perished, or suffered from an overly strong cleaning product, so is a little tacky. There is also a small cigarette type burn in the rear drivers side seat, but it"s not torn and has stood up to child seats, etc on it. This was from a previous owner - I don"t smoke and the car doesn"t smell like a smokers car. The A/C works, there are no warning lights, and the CD/radio has an aux/ipod cable.
I"ve been running as a 2nd car, and it"s been garaged throughout my ownership. The reason for selling is that I need a 5-door car for better practicality to support my wife"s floristry business.
