If you are looking for a genuinely excellent example of an Alfa Romeo 916 Spider then you are looking at just that.
This is a 1997 phase one model, The first of the new Spider era. The spec is completely original. A great investment for this reason alone.
Bodywork and exterior are superb. Rust is non existent with all panels straight and unmarked. The tropico green colour is rather rare and gives the Alfa a more subtle beauty than the reds/yellows.
Hood is in excellent condition, no leaks and I have replaced the rear window recently. The hood is electric, The opening closing process is a joy to behold. Something of an art form!
Interior is unmarked black leather. Bolsters have been replaced and show little to no wear. Whoever has owned this car before has clearly taken great care to keep the condition as it is. Original radio and CD changer. All dials, lights etc work.
Mechanically the engine only has 72k! Which is incredibly low for the year. The 2.0 twin spark engines are good for close to 200k if kept properly. Throttle response is instant with a lovely Italian sports car note from the exhaust. Cambelt change just complete with more documented in the past. Full service history. Current mot to October with no advisories.
All in all if you are looking for a Spider then is worth serious consideration. The Alfa needs nothing with the exception of a new owner!
