EXTERIOR
Here we have it; the stablemate to one of the most successful long distance GT cars ever created. The optional halo paint scheme fires the aesthetic right into GTE pro territory – looking every bit the racer for the road with the optional aero kit installed. Tradition is not lost on this example, with the signature Stirling green paintwork proving a perfect foil to the outrageous wings and sills with lurid halo detail.
One of the most striking standard features is the cutaway front wheelarch, allowing high pressure air to escape thus feeding the enormous side sills with further ground effects.
INTERIOR
Carbon Fibre and Alcantara are now the staple for the homologation special with the GT8 certainly no exception. Satin weave adorns the door cards and dash centre, whilst the two materials work in unison to create the beautifully branded bucket seats. A significant white stitching creates an elegant map line around the seats, the dash and door cards with door pulls also treated to woven detail.
The subtle touch of chrome to the switchgear surrounds sustain an elegance that one expects from the British manufacturer, with handbrake and sill stamp also adorned in brushed aluminium.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The V8 engine has been massaged to now produce 440hp with the familiar spitfire sound enhanced further by a lightweight Stainless steel / Titanium exhaust. The soundtrack that fills the cabin is pure theatre, with start up signalling serious intent and once up and running through the rev range the car is aurally astonishing; a race car sound to match the appearance.
A 6 speed manual offers the ultimate interaction with a short, fast throw matched beautifully to the rev hungry V8.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 7 spoke satin black wheels look the part against this particular colour combination, offering a slightly more concave appearance in the rear to host 295 section rubber. These are equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2′s, considered the ultimate in progression whether the conditions may be wet or dry.
The steel Brembo brakes allow for perfect modulation and will match even the most demanding of conditions.
