Attention collecters: Unquie Rover Metro Rio. First registered 0n 01/08/1993. but could be a year younger 1992. Before registering the car spent a year at Castle Combe Wiltshire tracks. Rio spent his time on Cross Country races and dirt track Rallies in Westcountry. During the cars 26-year history Rio had attended 8 Rallies in Wiltshire and 3 in Westcountry after registration from 1993. With its custom made an engine with GTi parts and basic lightweight chaise Rio is fast but fairly economical. With it"s bright red lacquered finished paintwork Rio turns heads wherever he goes. Since I found the car and brought it back to the family in memory of my uncle and cousin"s who rallied the car in many races I have lovingly restored it as much as I can as parts are getting rare. Mechanically sound, 4 custom made tyres brought last year, cheap to insure, new custom made exhaust, new fuel tank and many more new parts. Rio is a 4 gear chocker driven car last of its kind with only 45k on the clock with full MOT until July 2020. The only bad bit is rear arch passenger side as I am struggling to find the panel to finish the car. This is a unique rare form of Metro Rio and a lot of time and money spent in restoring him back to his former glory.
