Having bought a standard A3 for it"s tow bar(!) I decided to put some nice wheels on it and then one thing led to another. I changed the front end to a new shape bumper, lowered it, changed the interior for a full leather S3 interior and fitted a new exhaust. Oh and popped four brand new tyres on it.
It now owes me far more than I will get back for it but it really is a lovely car to drive now and looks the part too. MOT runs out in September but I can put a full year"s MOT on it for any prospective buyer. I am confident that it will pass first time with no advisories!
I think the mileage is around 130k (will double check exact numbers) but she drives and handles a dream. I have sorted out all the little niggles, fixed an oil leak, and kept on top of the servicing so she will give the new owner many years of fault free motoring.
It"s a great looking car which is cheap on the insurance and very economical due to the modest engine size but still gets up and goes. There is some bubbling along the roof line which could be sorted quite easily if you wanted a perfect car, but it doesn"t really show, so I haven"t worried about it.
Very good condition considering it"s age, and has been well looked after!
