Hi here we have for auction a 2002 BMW 320tdse Compact.
For sale as SPARES OR REPAIR due engine noise from failed intake manifold flaps which have fallen in to the engine.
The engine was shut down immediately after the fault occurred but I suspect that there will be damage to the piston crown, cylinder head and potentially the bore.
Starts and drives but is noisy
This is a common fault on the 2ltr td engine and the flaps can be replaced with blanking plates.
Would love to repair but I am moving house and simply do not have the time.
MOT expires November 2015 comes with a full service history shown in one of the pictures.  The V5 is also present.
Cosmetically the car is in good condition with only one small dent the size of a 5p on the drivers door and a small piece of laquer which is peeling off on the front bumper.  There are a couple of minor rust spots on the bottom of the drivers door.
The interior is in good condition but gear gaiter cover does have small tear and the parcel shelf only has one cord.
It comes complete with the warning triangle and service kit in the boot all unused.
The alloys do have a couple of scuffs and the paint has started to peel slightly around the wheel nuts.  It has a matching set of goodyear tyres which all have around 3 mm of tread left.
It is the SE spec so comes with the following which all work:
