Here is my BMW 323 CI SE Coupe (E46). I"ve owned this car for 6 months and it"s been a pleasure to own and to drive, however it has just failed its MOT and for myself it is not economically viable to repair.
Here are the good bits:
Very high spec from factory, including:

Brand new Spare wheel with new Contintental TyreI have recently replaced all the front brakes - Brand new pads, discs and two calipers.Engine and gearbox are great! Smooth and powerful through all gears and never misses a beat.
Despite having some ugly aftermarket 19 alloys, the tyres on them are good. One is almost brand new and cost nearly £100, the other 3 have over 4mm of tread.
Now for the bad. The Pre-MOT check at my local garage picked up a number of problems:Nearside Front and Rear wheel bearings need replacing
Several bushes and ball joints need replacing
ABS fault, probably a sensorRear Axle requires some welding
Rear fog light inoperativeHandbrake ineffectiveTwo brake pipes are corrodedFor anyone who is mechanically minded, this wouldn"t be overly expensive to fix, of if you were to break for parts you could probably make £400 on the wheels and brakes alone, and with the interior and optional extras the car is loaded with then there would be a lot of money to be made.
However I do not have the time to do this and since I have another car I just need this out of the way.
