BMW 5 series E28 in Zinnorberrot RedI"ve owned my lovely BMW for 11 years; and in that time it has never let me down.Millage is approx 134000 I"ve had to change the speedo a couple of times. If you want one of these that just goes this is the one.MOT May 2020It"s not a museum piece and is used regularly so please be realistic it is 33 years old so look at the pictures.Over the last few years have changed/upgraded the following.Under the bonnet i have just replaced the soundproofing the old stuff was getting a fire risk.New Radiator, thermostat, water pump, all the rubber hoses, cooling fan clutch, distributor, plug leads last two years new shocks all round will chuck in new rear springs(that was my next project)Interior is OK I"ve put covers on the front seats Dashboard has the usual cracks but not to bad.installed USB port and volt meter, the previous owner fitted a steering wheel and gear nob from the M series let me know if you would like the original.Paint is good for its age the original red but does have a few age related scratches etc also has a spoiler fitted from the M seriesI have replaced the original steel wheels with BBS alloys, tires are fine lots of tread left
Bad pointsRear brake shoes probably need a changeExhaust has a rattle, the garage tells me that it"s a lose pipe in one of the boxes it shouldn"t be a problemgoes after warm upIf you"re stuck in traffic and its really hot, the clutch binds a little - i haven"t found it to be a problem.
