Balmoral Green Metallic Coachwork with Twin Magnolia Hand Painted Fine Lines with Magnolia Leather Piped Green 5 Seat Interior with Green Top Roll. Red Label Badging and Rare Chrome Radiator Shell, Wood Steering Wheel, Gear Knob and Rear Folding Tables.

Bentley Main Agent and Specialist Service History, Main Agent up to 2004 at 46,870 miles. The large recent expenditure at Colbrook Specialists includes, large 6k miles service, re-gas air conditioning, replace off side rear spring pot, replace near side front suspension mount, replace off side rear wheel bearings and change differential oil.
Mileage 81,900, owned since 2004 by a member of the Bentley Drivers Club, 3 previous owners, we have many M.O.T. certificates, electronically they go back to 2006 at 52,692 miles.
This fabulous last of the line facelift Turbo RL is totally unmolested, everything is as it was when new. It is one of the last of the proper 100% Bentley Motors built SZ series motor cars with every single component being bespoke and not borrowed from BMW or VW. It is the upgraded 1997 model with the new Zytek Fuel Injection with 385 bhp and the uprated gearbox. It still runs on the upgraded 17 inch alloy wheels with lockable centre caps and correct Avon Turbo Speed tyres with between 5 and 6mm of tread, replaced in 2012 at 67,171 miles. This Turbo R has the piped sports seats with additional piping on the doors and additional front grab handles. The rare rear folding picnic tables are in perfect condition and are a lovely extra to have, it also has mud flaps. Dual airbags and remote central locking with alarm now came as standard as well as automatic headlights and electric tilt steering wheel.
This Turbo R was registered on 25th April 1997 at H.R. Owen of South Kensington, London, it was first registered WPJ 646. It is one of the last of the 1,524 Turbo RL’s produced and would have cost around £150,000. It has clearly been pampered and used sparingly, the leather shows very little signs of wear, the present owner has another more modern Bentley. The burr walnut woodwork is in nearly perfect condition and the door trims have straight grain crossbanding inlay. Every internal surface is either leather or wood, the lambswool overrugs are also included, the original carpets are in superb condition, the drivers winged B heel pad is in good condition. The original Alpine radio cassette is still in place with a C.D. autochanger in the front armrest next to a Motorola telephone, the radio remote control is in the rear pocket. This late Turbo RL has traction control and a auto dim rear view mirror. There are a few very minor marks and some very minor corrosion on the coachwork but overall it is in lovely condition.
The hardback sleeved owners manual is included and the service book shows 18 services, 13 Bentley Main Agent and 5 Colbrook BentleySpecialist. Many thousands of pounds has been spent during the present ownership including replacing the air conditioning condenser, rear gas spheres, brake discs and brake spheres. The original tool tray is complete and still in place in the boot compartment. The V8 engine sounds lovely and performs superbly, the adaptive ride offers both taut handling and comfort. This Turbo RL is also a very quiet place to be due to having the rare secondary door seals which make a huge difference regarding wind noise. Due to this being the long wheel base it offers plenty of rear legroom and a slightly smoother ride.
The photographs of this Turbo RL show a 6 digit private cherished registration number plate, this has now been removed and the new registration number is P864 KJC. The badge bar will remain with the motor car but the B.D.C. badge attached will be removed and kept by the present owner. The rare and expensive sheepskin seat covers are available by separate negotiation.
Can be viewed at the owners house near Stamford and is kept alongside anotherBentley, it can be viewed by prior appointment in Lincolnshire. We exhibited this Turbo RL at the Bentley Drivers Club Silverstone Race Day in August, it covered around 250 miles effortlessly, the engine emits a lovely deep burble and it is very economical due to the high final drive ratio.
