SEMI AUTO Smart CABRIO -
I"ve had many good times with my little Smart car recently. I got it whilst living in Essex/London as a little run around and managed to bring it back to Rhyl to get me from A to B after a break up.
Unfortunately, it appeared to have had an engine fault which happened a few days ago with and a flat battery. Although there isn"t an engine warning light, apparently it"s a common fault of these cars for their engine to conk out after a certain number of miles.
It can be fixed, which can be done at a garage, and I just haven"t got the time to get her fixed. She doesn"t start when you turn the key - as the battery is flat. Before the battery died, the engine didn"t start either due to the fault I mentioned.
I am now wanting to sell it for either spare parts/or for someone to use as a project to maybe get her back and healthy and more importantly back on the road for someone else to enjoy. Everything else is in great working order. The only faults are:
** The passenger door is jammed shut as recently the seatbelt buckle got stuck in the door. After trying to force the door open, the lock snapped.
** I got the car already with this fault and it"s the sunroof - it can be temperamental. I think over the years, and lets not forget its over 12 years old, some water has maybe got into the motor. I"ve noticed a little touch of the fusebox makes it work again.
** The previous owner was a 17 year old girl who one day decided to spray paint everything she saw silver into Black. So on the side of the car, there is leaky looking paint that has dried. This can easily be sanded and fixed. To be honest, it"s not that noticeable until you really see it up close and of course, at night... you cant see at all.
As seen in the pictures, it has Brabus extras, it has Black alloys, great tyres (although over the time it"s not been driven the rear back drivers has gone flat) - tinted windows, tinted/smoked rear lights and all interior is standard - it has an updated CD player along with leather heated seats, although only the passenger one works, lucky them ey!
I did buy this car for a lot more whilst I was living in Essex - where these cars are VERY common. I still want to get a good price for it as all it needs is the engine looking at and you"ve got yourself a lovely little car - especially for someone"s first car as it"s £30 for road tax, really cheap insurance and of course, the fuel... £25 fills the tank!
