Up for auction is the wife’s BMW 318i 1.9 petrol saloon.
We’ve had this car for the last couple of years and apart from having to change the usual BMW failings I.e header tank, thermostat, lollipops and drop links and main coolant hose, it’s never let us down. It’s been used primarily for school runs and family outings. It even did a 600 mile round trip without missing a beat. So it really has been a lovely little reliable car.
But sadly, with the imminent arrival of our 4th child, it’s time to say goodbye as we now need a 7 seater.
It’s covered 140k in miles which is well below the national average. We regularly do plugs/filters and oil changes so she always runs sweet as a nut. Like I said, she’s never let us down.
Mot was done on the 21st of this month so has a full years ticket. Only advisory (same as previous year) was tires, which will be replaced before it’s sold.
My good lady wife decided to carbon wrap the interior trip in metallic purple, I think it looks good and sets well with the rest of the interior, but if it’s not your thing, it’s easy enough to take off.
Please bear in mind this car celebrates its 19th birthday this year so it’s not as immaculate as it was when she rolled out the factory. A couple of trolly n post dinks and the odd stone chip here n there but nothing serious by any means.
With all this said, I’ve set the reserve at what I feel is realistic for a car of this age and condition.
She’s a good car, and will work hard for her new owner I’m sure as long as she’s treated like the lady she is.
