I am always happy to speak to anyone with problems and offer a no fee diagnostic and advice. Rear tailgate/boot hinge One of the most common failures is the rear tailgate/boot lid hinge. Due to a poor design this component can fail causing the tailgate to drop and open the roof on the failed side! The problem is the hinge is not available to buy as a replacement part from anywhere. I have spent a lot of time and money investing in re-designing this component so it will never fail again. The hinge that I replace on vehicles is exclusive to Chevron and once fitted I will guarantee it will last the life of the vehicle! There are other so called experts that advertise to repair Pluriels but the hinge they supply and fit will only be an over-priced second hand part THAT WILL FAIL AGAIN! When the roof is stripped down replacing the hinge I also replace the drive cables and the vinyl roof slides as these components get damaged when the hinge fails.
