vehicle description:

Up for sale 2008 Chrysler 300c. 50,000 miles Full service history This car is in near mint condition inside and out, and looks stunning in metallic black with black windows and 20 inch rims. The pictures really do not do it justice. Inside you get all the comfort and toys you would normally find in the big V8 but with the frugal and yet still powerful v6 Mercedes diesel. The engine pulls like a train especially in the mid-range but even pulling away from the lights will surprise for such a big car. The paint is very near spotless and all panels are perfect, Rims are in very good condition as well and really set this big car off. Interior comforts include bolstered leather and suede sports seat from the big V8 and leather steering wheel. Sat nav with built in Hard disc so you can load all your favourite songs to listen too, if you don’t fancy that simply plug in your ipod or phone and listen that way. Head unit also comes with Bluetooth connectivity so you can use hands free while travelling, I have used this feature a great deal on long motorway journeys and it really does work well, as does the sat nav with clear instructions that fade the music so that you can hear properly. The big 20” rims help the car stick to the road and for such a big car it actually handles very well, and motorways, where this car spends most of its time, are an absolute breeze. This car has full service history comes with MOT until Jan 2015 and there is still a few months Tax left on it. Now for the less so good bits: Unfortunately this car was categorised as Category D write off Firstly though, what causes a cat D write-off? Quite often, nothing more than light damage. It generally means the vehicle has been lightly damaged but the financial cost of repairing the car outweighs its market value. In short, it is not economical to repair – remember, car insurance companies look at the total cost of repair here, including hire cars, expensive-to-source parts for particular models and so on. Cat D status can sometimes be for very minor damage, if the rest of the repair process is deemed to be more than the car is worth. In this case the lead time on the parts required would have meant the replacement hire car would have cost more that the car was worth. The following parts have been replaced: Bonnet, plastic front bumper cover (not the crash bar) and Bonnet slam panel, all In all the actual repair took about 2 hours (not including painting). All shut lines are perfect and obviously there is no effect on the looks or drivability of this car. Insuring the car is also not a problem. While getting the car ready to sell it developed a TPM system error, this is down to one of the transponders that the car uses to work out where each of the wheels are for the Tyre Pressure monitoring system, The system itself works fine and all wheels report correct tyre pressure, but if you were to swap the wheels around the car may have some difficulty recognising this and would report the wheels in the wrong corner. Also it could do with 2 new front tyres. I have been honest about the above few minor issues and I feel the price reflects this.
