“There are some age related marks on the paintwork but generally it's very good. There is one scratch on the passenger side, it's not very noticeable and would touch up ok. The interior carpets, trim and leather seats with only minor wear on the drivers seat, armrests and sliding back bench seat all working ok. There is only 1 key and remote fob. This is working ok.”

At Basingstoke car clearance we auction vehicles taken in part exchange at Houndmills Autoplaza. These are the main dealer sites for Ford, Peugeot, Honda etc. Most vehicles offered are over 10 years as these are not resold by the main dealer businesses. Previously all part exchange vehicles were sent to car auctions regardless of their condition or mileage but now we are selecting  the best looking and cared for of them and offering them for sale by auction which means you should be able to take home a bargain car before it is sent off to the car auctions.

People Carriers, MPV"s, all the car manufacturers make them today and are producing more luxurious models. However in the USA, Americans have been enjoying driving luxury MPV"s for decades and Chrysler Dodge, Ford and GM all competing for the market. Japenese imports of high end Toyota, Nissan and Mazda MPV"s in the 1980"s led to more being produced for the UK market. The Chrysler Voyager first appeared here in 1997 with a newer MK2 model being inroduced in 2001. These vehicles raised the bar in terms of quality and luxury to the UK which had up to then only had quite basic people carriers. Not many manufacturers still offer this amount of space to seat 7 passengers in comfort with their luggage, probably only the Mercedes Viano is comparable.
This Voyager is a high end auto 4 model which has a column change 4 speed automatic gearbox. The change on the steering column to give even more space inside. It has lovely V6 3.3 Litre petrol engine that produces 172 BHP and gives the Chrysler an official 0- 60 of 12.2 seconds which is impressive for an automatic vehicle this large. Not that anyone buys one of these for it"s straight line speed! It"s downside is that lovely V6 with an auto box will return only an average of 22 MPG and has emmissions of 304 g/km. But the Voyager is all about travelling in comfort with the family and once behind the wheel in your heated electric leather and suede armchair you"ll be wanting to hit the freeway, well the road works on the M3 at least!
The Chrysler is much nicer to drive than you might think. The big V6 is almost silent but you can feel it"s powerful, the automatic gearbox changes smoothly, and everything seems to be working ok including the electric sliding side doors it has on both sides. These can be operated from the remote control key fob with the central locking as you approach the vehicle. It"s just like Thunderbird 2 but bigger and the Chrysler Voyager has almost as many buttons, this is no van with windows!
The Voyager is showing 91,000 miles and from the overall condition and the evidence from past MOT"s this looks right. In the past 5 years the car has averaged only 3000 miles and since Dec 2014 only 1000 miles. The car has just passed a new MOT with one advisory. Unfortunately there is no service book so assume a service will be required. The spare wheel, V5, MOT, 1 key and remote fob all working.
