I am sadly selling me Daewoo Matiz SE+ as I have upgraded to something a little newer and more suited to the longer journeys that I regularly take (50 mile round trip to work, etc.) This car has been very good to me, and still has very low mileage - just under 50,000 miles. I have looked after it for the three years that I have owned it, and despite it"s size, it has taken us on 2 camping holidays without any interior space hassles!
In December 2015, in preparation for the current MOT, I had the following work done:
- Full service (inc. all new belts & filters)
- Both front brake pads replaced
- Anti-roll bar bushes replaced
- Exhaust rear-section (with new mounts) - the front section was replaced the previous year
- 1 new tyre
- New wiper blades
MOT expires on 21st December 2016, and the current certificate has no advisories. It has never broken down on me or even come close - starts every time without hesitation - and the engine runs beautifully, with good fuel economy. I regularly get 300 miles from a full tank.
Other details:
- Central Locking (from driver"s door)
- Electric door mirror (Passenger"s side, from driver"s side control)
- Electric front windows
- One key
- Half a tank of petrol
- Spare tyre (appears to be full size - steel rim)
The EGR recently gave a warning light on the dashboard. My mechanic cleaned the unit out and reset the ECU, and the warning has not returned since. It causes no problems or differences in performance, but for full disclosure I wanted to mention it in case it returns in the future.
The CD drive of the aftermarket (Alba) stereo no longer works, and the volume knob is very temperamental - but the AUX input, USB and radio all work just fine. You may want to put your own stereo in.
This is a wonderful car, and would especially suit being a second/city car, even though it handles longer journeys without a problem. In my opinion, the performance is very good for a 0.8L engine, and the insurance cost has been very low for me. Please feel free to ask any questions!
