vehicle description:

This auction is for my daughters Daewoo Matiz Xtra. It is a 0.8L (796cc) 3 cylinder petrol engine that runs wonderfully and has just under 68,000 miles on the clock. She is still using it until Tuesday to get to work so this may rise but should not go above the 68k mark. It was bought by my daughter in Jun 15 as her first car after passing her test and has done the job perfectly. It starts with no problems all year round and is great on fuel economy and insurance alike (Less that £600 for the first year for her!!!) It is a four door, four seater car with a hatchback to the boot. The boot has a parcel shelf and a piece of carpet placed in the boot to protect it. Under the carpet is a jack, wheel brace, and spare space saver wheel.
There is no service history from before she had the vehicle but we do have the old MOTs. On the 2015 MOT, no fails, but it advised the brakes needing adjusting which I made sure was done by the vendor before she bought the car. On the 2016 MOT it failed for a small piece of welding required on the rear right sill which was carried out and is shown on the photos.
Since having the car we have had the following work carried out:
Replaced rear RHS light cluster as it had a little hole in it. Was not an MOT fail but we did want to make sure the hole was not going to leak water etc - Jun 15
Service and inspection carried out on buying the Vehicle to ensure there were no hidden problems with the vehicle - Fairways Garage - Jul 15
Replacement alloy rim; one had previously been kerbed before we bought the vehicle - ebay - Jul 15
4 New Tyres and Front Wheel Alignment & Safety Check - Halfords - Jul 15
Repair to fuse box as the radio was cutting out - Fairways Garage - Sep 15
Replace EGR Valve - Fairways Garage - Apr 16
MOT and required Welding - Fairways Garage - Jun 16
Service: New Oil Filter, New Air Filter, Engine Oil Change, New Spark Plugs, New Brake pads, OSF CV boot replaced and normal service checks and inspection - Fairways Garage - Aug 16
As you can see from the info above when she bought the car it was inspected and serviced and since then any issues that have arisen have been addressed straight away.
For its age the body work is in a reasonable condition but does have the normal age related marks and "carpark corners". The only real thing I would wish to sort now is a small patch of bubbling over the rear right hand side wheel arch, again shown in the last photo. If she was keeping the car I would rub it down and paint with Hammrite Undercoat and then patch paint it. The streaks on the bonnet are watermarks where she did not wait for it all to dry before she took the photos for this listing and is fine!! There is a car stereo but this is not working properly however she does use the aux lead to plug into her phone playing her music and radio through to the car speakers from that.
This is a great first car for the "newly passed their test" driver. It is cheap to insure and run and my daughter has commuted to work for the last 18 months with no problems in it. In fact last month she drove, with her daughter, from Folkstone to Plymouth and back for a week with no problems! You are more than welcome to come and look at the car after Tuesday but if you want to test drive you will need to make sure you are covered by insurance as it will be not insured from Tuesday. Please remember that when you buy the car you will need to tax and insure it to drive it away.
Cash on collection is preferred and please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
