For Sale is our 1995 Daihatsu Fourtrak 2.8 TD Fieldman.
Owned for over 5 years, and still drives great. Only used for light farming duties, to check on animals and feed. Last year after having several MOTs requiring mild welding, we decided to have the underneath properly stripped back and welded up and strengthened. This was done to ensure it would no olonger require welding underneath for years to come.
Unfortunately, although the vehicle itself still drives great, and looks reasonable for it"s age, the engine has a mild overheating issue. if it travels more than 20 miles it would start to over heat. For us this wasn"t an issue as it didnt do many miles ata time. But for future buyer, this could be a problem. We have been told it"s likely to be the water-pump and a radiator replacement, since the vehicle could get blocked up with internal corrosion, and cause the water-pump to fail. But we cannot rule out a head gasket issue, although the water system doesn"t over pressurise, and there is no water in the oil and vice verca.
This would have to be look at at your own risk.
If it"s a farm vehicle your looking for then this would suit you fine.
The vehicle is in decent condition for mileage and year otherwise and clean compared to many especially with the £1000 spent last year on underbody work.
